Fall Table Arrangement
I couldn't resist the little pumpkins at Savemart today. I had a moment of weakness and bought some. :) I already had the mini straw bale from Wal-Mart, and the crate is one of the ones in my wedding arsenal.
I used double-sided tape to wrap the pumpkins with different laces and ribbons.

Pumpkin towel
I saw this idea on a blog and loved it! Today I ran into Target but they didn't have the plain white towels I wanted so I bought green. I freehanded a pumpkin and stem on cardstock and then traced onto the fabric. I was super bummed when I got home and realized I was out of wonder under, so I just fray checked the edges of the fabric pieces and then used lots of pins. For those of you who don't know, wonder under (or different brands) allows you to iron the fabric in place before stitching it. It helps a lot, and I would never do a tricky shape without first ironing it on.

A festive treat
Quite obviously, this could not be simpler! I have a set of mini cutters, and one of them is a pumpkin. I cut a quarter of a cantaloupe and sliced off the seeds and the brown edge. Then I just put it on a plate and cut out pumpkins!
I used mini skewers, I think they would be really cute if you made a fruit arrangement, but these were just for a special snack to break up our school day.

A quick gift to share the season..
This morning, the girls and I got invited to meet our friend, Emma's teacher from last year, at McDonald's for lunch! Since I love to bake, and love to eat, but shouldn't eat it all, I decided to share. This morning I baked up some pumpkin spice bread (from a box mix) and some cream cheese frosting (from scratch). It's super yummy!
And mighty pretty on my homemade cake stand if I do say so myself!

I always keep an assortment of boxes, treat bags, cupcake boxes on hand JUST for this very reason!
I sliced off a BIG end piece and put it in the box after lining with wax paper.
Wrapped it up with some pretty fall ribbon I had on hand...
Then I added a couple of fall stickers..."Nuts about fall" and a squirrel eating an acorn. Sometimes I use the rub-on images, or cut a piece of patterned scrapbook paper and use double sided tape to take on the lid of the box. This time, I went with something easy, and it still turned out super cute! Hopefully it will be a nice treat for a hard-working teacher that is still working at school on her holiday off! =)

Berlap pumpkins
Today I stumbled upon Domestically Speaking's berlap pumpkin post and I thought I'd give it a try since I have orange berlap. I used my lid from the biggest bowl I have as a template.

She used fishing line but since I didn't have any, I decided on thin metal. I know how hard it can be to make berlap do what you want from when I made my fabric flowers.
After weaving it through (and don't go to close to the edge because the berlap will fray a bit and then you might lose your stitch), I pulled it tight by pulling each end with pliers.
