Crocheted Hearts Projects
It has been FOREVER since I blogged! I have been really consumed with homeschooling and just keeping up with normal life. Now it's Christmas break and I'm ready to get creative again! Hopefully it won't come to a screeching halt when school starts up again. ;)
I learned something new and just had to blog about it. I watched a tutorial on YouTube on how to crochet a heart, and after watching, pausing, failing trying A LOT, I finally got it! I've added them to my Etsy shop and can't wait to make more! Find the hearts to make your own DIY wreath here.
I hot glued some hearts to a grapevine wreath for a cute addition to the front door.
I love these non-traditional colors together: cream, red, and gray. Find this garland here.
I also made the traditional colors: light pink, pink, and red. Find it here. I'm curious to see which one sells more!I added the gray one to my pallet gallery in the dining room, and the photo on the bottom was just for listing purposes on Etsy. That one's all packaged up and ready to go to a new home. ;)
I have a lot of turquoise, teal, red, and mint in my house, so I thought I'd add a few turquoise hearts on my wreath to tie it in.
I'm totally obsessed. I've always seen people crocheting while waiting places and wanted to learn. My Grandma Doris taught me how when I was little, but I completely forgot how. She was the absolute best. I loved getting her zig zag blankets. She was ahead of her time with the chevron thing. ;) If you don't know how or don't have time to learn, all of these hearts and garlands are for sale in my Etsy shop, Distressed Beautiful.

The Littlebeane Boutique Giveaway Winnings!
I was lucky enough to WIN a blog giveaway from The Twinery Blog! The prize was 5 sheets of personalized 2.5 inch stickers, 60 address labels AND a personalized set of recipe cards!! I was SO excited! They are from The Littlebeane Boutique, and I thought I'd share them with you. I didn't show the other address labels because it would have been too hard to not show my address, but they have a big turquoise "B" with black polka dots, and then our name and address off to the right. I have ordered from The Littlebeane Boutique before and her work is amazing! Check it out...
I covered up the address, but I LOVE these round address labels!
These are the recipe cards I chose.
Love the lemons!
How cute are these whisks?!
I loved these Easter ones! (I didn't know that these would have my name on them but oh well!)
There are a handful of different cupcake sticker designs to choose from- it's a hard decision! I LOVE how everything turned out and most of all that it was FREE!! Check out the Twinery's blog, it's really cool (and they're on facebook). And be sure to remember The Littlebeane Boutique when you are planning a party (there are PAGES of party designs!!) , looking for a personalized gift for a baker in your life, or shopping for yourself!

Etsy Review {Sew Chatty}
Last week I ordered this little pouch from a cute shop on Etsy called Sew Chatty. She had a coupon code on a blog I follow, and I loved this little zipper pouch! It was so reasonable! She sells lots of other beautiful things in her shop, you should check it out!
I thought of a bunch of ways to use this pouch, and I think I decided on the ring storage!
It's a great little pouch for all of my costume rings!
It would be a good place for your tween's {or your} ipod, chargers and earbuds.
Or for a few pieces of make up you keep with you in your purse.
Or, let's be honest this would be a good use for a teenager! Again, or you! ;) I can't believe I just posted that, but I'm just keepin' it real!
The other thing I thought of is it would be a cute pouch for a point and shoot camera and a spare set of batteries, to keep in your purse, but since I was USING my camera, I couldn't take a picture of that! I highly recommend Sew Chatty, she has great service, quality and super fast shipping!

Etsy Ring Reviews
First let me say, you should visit these etsy shops because their pics are WAY better than mine! I was having trouble trying to get a clear close-up. SO..bear with me and check out their etsy shops!
First off, we have Little Miss Momma's shop. I also suggest you check out and follow their blogs so that you know when they have a coupon code, I bought ALL of these rings with coupon codes! Both of these gals are also on Facebook. Here is Little Miss Momma's Blog. This is a super light yellow chrysanthemum flower on a filigree adjustable band. I LOVE it.

Next up, from the same shop, is the Eclipse ring. It is a black mini flower on a filigree ring.
I love the way it looks when I'm wearing black or gray!

Next up is Love Stitched! She has super cute accessories in her shop, I love the headbands and hair clips. The above link will take you to her etsy shop. You can also visit her at Lovestitched.com and follow her on facebook so you can get the scoop on coupon codes.
I special ordered this gray fabric rosette ring. She makes them in all kinds of colors.
It looks SO much cuter in person than when you see it just on my hand in this picture!
This one is mustard yellow, although my camera did not do the true color justice.

The order from Love Stitched took about a week and a half before it was shipped, and I was wondering why it was taking so long but figured it was because of the special order. When my box arrived it included this seafoam green flower ring attached to a little card that said "so sorry for the delay"! WOW! I just think that is awesome that she took it upon herself to give me an extra ring because she knew that it took awhile to get the order out.
I totally recommend checking out both of these shops, they have A LOT more than what you see here!
