Chocolate Crinkles!

At the Farmer's Market last week, I was lured over to the Raising Dough Bakery table. I bought what they called a giant chocolate crinkle. After tasting it I realized that it is the same as, what I know to be, cake cookies. The difference is, she told me they roll them in powdered sugar before baking so that when the cracks are formed, you get the effect of dark and light. They take NO time and were a complete match to theirs in my opinion! By the way, I went back to their table and bought two more cookies before leaving the market, because they were so good! You will need a Betty Crocker Triple Chocolate Fudge cake mix, 2 eggs, 1/3 cup oil, and powdered sugar to roll them in. That's it! Stir the cake mix, eggs and oil together until all of the powdered mix is combined. Use your muscles, you'll need them! Once the dough looks like this, you are all set to roll a ball and plop it into a pile of powdered sugar!

Roll that puppy around!

Pick it up and separate your fingers, then gently bounce it in your hand to get rid of the extra sugar.

Plop it on a cookie sheet, I like to use parchment when baking because the dirtier my dishes are, the longer I procrastinate washing them! Love cooking, hate dishes! Notice you do not leave it a perfectly round ball, but you flatten it slightly.

Bake at 350 degrees for 7-11 minutes, depending on the size you make your cookies. When they are done, they will look like this... just like the bakery ones! Yum, yum!
